It was in the middle of the exitement in Japan.
All the dreams were bursted as a cumulonimbus grow in the summer sky.


Cosmo Sports ........ a simbol of the splendid 60's ------------------------------------------------------------

  • In October 1964 which was the year all the people in Japan was exited of Tokyo Olimpic's old,
    one sports car appeared as it was slippery at the 11th Harumi's Motor Show.

    This car was Cosmo Sport which had the first 2 rotor rotary engine in the world.
    In the same year, in October, "Shinkansen" started business.
    The highways are expended like "Shuto" or "Meishin highways" it was a impressional debut to open the new speed age.

    Cosmo Sport that took the fans bleath away was on the sale on May 1967 after the total 3milion miles dirving test's result.
    As the high grown of economy term was reflected the boom of owing a car was setlling down,
    and in the next June the number of retaining car was over 10 millions,
    but there were not so many happy drivers who could felt the 110ps' powerful speed of 2 rotor.



  • Next year that is 1968, Cosmo Sport was powered up to 128ps and the speed was 200km/h and it was as fast as "Shinkansen Hikari" at that time.
    Cosmo Sport predicted the prosperity era having the emblem which was modified the rotor on its low and flat bonnet, and its appearence was exactly "cool" which was the hip word in those days.
